Undergraduate - Taking Care of Business

Taking Care of Business for New Students and Families

Now that a decision has been made to attend Framingham State University in the fall, there is a lot that needs to be done to help you get ready for orientation as well as the start of the semester.  For many, the new processes and deadlines can be overwhelming.  We would like to assist you in completing several of the processes that need to be done.  In these virtual sessions, we will provide general information about several specific documents and uploads.  Representatives for various offices will be available to describe what needs to be done and provide guidance on how to complete forms and upload documents to the appropriate locations.  While these virtual sessions will be general in nature, there will be an opportunity to schedule an appointment with the appropriate people to get individual situations resolved and questions answered.  The forms that we will be focusing on in these sessions include:

    • The In-State Tuition Residency Form (required to get in-state tuition, even as a resident of Massachusetts)
    • Financial Aid- forms that need to be completed to receive all awarded aid
    • Health Forms- documents have to be uploaded to a specific site, called Medicat
    • Student Accounts- will show how to access the online bill (which comes available in July), how the student can give access to the bill to people other than the student
    • Residence Life- Completing the Housing Application

You will see a lot happening in the coming months.  It can be overwhelming.  Please join us for these virtual sessions to take some of that stress away.
